'AMPANG MEDIKAL' ON AIR!

Mood: Excited Music:        "When I Grow Up" by PCD

They gave us tentative date for the release of the drama series but nothing was confirmed. Today, I happen to switch from one channel to the other on Astro and to my utter surprise, AMPANG MEDIKAL was already on air. It was exactly today they air the very first episode which would run for 7 months on NTV7.

I was happy, excited and at the same time, felt rather nervous eventhough it would take 3 months before the episode I'm featured in would go on air.

I consider this production my very first professional experience with TV, playing a supporting role. There were not much direction given while we were shooting plus I only had a glimpse of the raw footages that were shot on the spot therefore, I honestly do not know how it would turn out on TV and whether my TV acting would pass thru...

Just recalling my experience on set, I felt I was rather shaky on the very first day of my shoot. I did not know what to expect and neither was I clear headed of what I was doing in front of the camera. I'm pretty sure I lost control over my surrounding, the lights, the boom mics, the people behind the camera, the HEAT (boy I was melting constantly) and of course, my lines (which was memorized an hour or two b4 I'm called!).

But I felt much more in control and clear headed on the 2nd and 3rd day of shoot (spread out once a week). When the camera started rolling, I felt I was much at ease and calm and found my own way of letting my eyes do all the talking but of course by the time I found my mojo, it was a wrap for my character. SO, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! You might just detect a sudden switch in my character the first time I'm introduced to the time I leave the hospital.

Anyhow, it was definitely a great experience and I just wanna thank Abang Is and Zuhairi for casting me (eventhough on such short notice), G and Citra for making me look so gorgeous (and very natural) in front of the camera, Khai for being so patient and forgiving, Su for screaming out of her lungs to get all of us in order, Chelsea and Jack for being so accomodating on set and laslty, Aunty Margaret for believing I'm her grandson!

'AMPANG MEDIKAL' is aired every THURSDAY @ 8.30PM on NTV7, saluran CERIA anda! I'll be featured in EPISODES 16 & 17.

I KNOW YOUR HANDBAG IS FAKE!

Mood: Overwhelmed            Music: "Stylish Girl" by ...

Gosh, it's been ages since I last updated my blog. But this...this particular entry I feel needs to be blogged in.

First and foremost, thank you Melissa for letting me be part of the Handbag team. It was such a joy, an honour and a pleasure working on this short & sweet project. Anrie, Joy and Amelia, you gals rocks my world and I'm so proud of you all.

Best Playwright Award! Best Director Award! Audience Choice Award! That was definitely too much for me to handle as I was clicking and snapping away in the front row. It is just too amazing and overwhelming seeing Handbag team receiving the awards. I'm speechless, I'm high but also I'm just plain happy.

The infinate smorgasboard lies before us so..."what do we do?" Each and everyone of us have begun embarking on our internship training. I wish everyone and including myself the best and will see what's to come.

As for me, so far so good, going according to plan.

TIME GOES BY...

Mood: Inspired                Music: "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz

Was driving on the LDP today and suddenly felt inspired to write this poem! Here goes...

Time Goes By...

Written by Adrian Teh Eu-Weng

(sound of metronome in the background...)

To the birds that sing, to the deep blue sky

When evening comes, it's time to say goodbye,

To a good night sleep, to the dreaming mind,

Time goes by, leaving it all behind.

To a horse that speaks, to the stable door,

When midnite falls, ride it with your all,

Through thick and thin, through laugh and cry,

Once we strike, It's time to say goodbye!

As time was spent, memories were made,

We go seperate ways but don't be discourage,

As time goes by, life goes on,

What will remain, is our victory song...

(equus chant in the background)

Dedicated to Equus cast & crew!

LUV,

Adrian :p

LET THERE BE LIGHT...

Mood: Accomplished            Music: "La Vi Boheme" by Aaron Teoh

What a FUN, FULFILLING and FANTASTIC day that is. We managed to get quite a lot done and it is only because we had a superb team of funtastic people around to help-out.

While Eri & Zalikha painted the cubes, Aaron, Erica and Bryant were painting the linos outside.

Mark and Me were in the theatre working on lights and boy did we have a technical brain fry along the way. It took us quite some time to get used to the whole patching system. Rigging was rather easy. We had to be super creative along the way tidying the anaconda long wires. I personally learnt a great deal troubleshooting errors and mistakes we encountered along the way. We were in college since 10am in the morning till 10.30pm but for some reason, it din't feel that long.

The juniors brought life and spirit (although sometimes can be a little bit too much) but it was great having them around. So much joy and laughter to lighten up the working space. Roger, Reuben, Sam, Olivia and Jojo did really help quicken things up since we had extra hands to break into various teams.

Jojo and Olivia was outside painting the wires black. Sam, Reuben and roger helped with cabling and masking the lighting grid. Mark and Me were patching grid 2 & 3. Bryant, Erica & Aaron were taping down the linos in the theatre while Eri and Zalikha went to sho pfor costume. This is MAJOR TEAM WORK to da max!

By the end of the day, we managed to get the lights patched up and the floor ready for rehearsal. I'm just sooooooooooo happy!

THe PHOENIX HAS RISEN!

Mood: Alive                  Music: "Gimme More" by Britney Spears

Thankz to a lovely treat to the spa, a healthy dose of heartfelt chat, and a trip to the psychiatrist (JUST KIDDING), Adrian is back and may I say, new and improved perhaps...?

Well no matter what I have become, I must say, working on this production really made me discover a whole new dimension about meself. I wish I could say I discovered rainbows and flowers along the way, but instead, I discovered pretty ugly and horrible things... Yea, sucky isn't it? Well I guess that's life...It ain't pretty all the time.

But I have to admit, after hearing from my massuer and mom that I was experiencing fatigue, stress and blood toxication over the pass few weeks, is sad to say that I have no one to blame buy myself for it. For one, because I was stress, I was just walloping every fatty and heavy food I laid my eyes on. Two, because I was stressing myself, my body was producing toxic that gave me break-out problems on my once blemish-free skin. Three, because I was constantly setting my mind on unimportant issues, I diverted away major things that requires my attention, namely God, my work as a production stage manager, my health and my family. most of the time I come home, I just fall flat on the bed. -_-"

I alwayz have this idea that I'm able to endure stormy weathers and heavy climbs along the way ever since I was young. Guess I finally reached my limit. I'm bitting my teeth as push myself to admit that I can be quite weak (or should I say, HUMAN) at times. Darn!

I guess you can never equate age to life experiences or even job experiences. I have an action plan to remedy myself. One, eat and live HEALTHILY. Two, focus on my basic functions and get back my mojo! Three, have fun along the way!

Thankz for reading and hearing me out. i'll be just FINE! :p

MORNING CHURCH - NEPALESE SERMON - STEAMBOAT DINNER - BOWLING FUN!

Mood: Happy                      Music: "Umbrella" by Terence Ho

Whoa, yesterday was nicely filled with activities man.

Went to church for service in the morning. Was the back-up singer. Pastor David Goh gave us a really stirring message that got me pondering. Although it ended at 1.30pm, it did not felt like a long service at all.

Had a quick lunch at the mamak nearby and did some finalizing and labelling to my msg. at 3ish, I had to speak at the Nepalese Service. I spoke about The Future: What's Install? Had a good time with the bunch as they were quick receptive. Ended around 4ish and went str8 home.

Brought the youths out for steamboat at Menjalara for a post-Easter celebration because they really came a long way and did an excellent job during the performance last week. Thought we had a good celebration today. Dinner was on me.

We were there for 2 hours str8 just eating and chatting and left about 8ish for 1Utama for bowling. To our surprise, discovered talents along the way. some of the young ones can really bowl wei! It was great seeing the young ones bonding thru a frenly match.

We left at 10pm but the day din't seem finish cause some of us had urges for ice-cream. 1Utama was pretty much close then so we decided to stop by McD at my area there for ice-cream Sundae. Ooo...la...la...

I was so beat-up by then i literally went flat on the bed. Got up this morning to get my car-break fixed, send dad to the airport, finish up some paper work for the production and here I am updating my bloggie! Phew...what a day!

THANKZ AARON TEOH GUAN TI!

Mood: Calm      Music: "Various Musical Numbers" by "The Broken Jukebox"

Who would have thought BUNNY would be a counselor when it comes to heartfelt? It was definitely a hit on my ego as he slowly weave the Parable Of The Richman & The Poor Woman to my soul.

He (or "it) was definitely a God sent messenger. I felt so much at ease and relief after talking to him and boy, I have to admit (bitting my tongue) that bunny is such an adorable fren.

Gave him a good hug and think I can move on from now...

EASTER PERFORMANCE + KING CRAB + GSC

Mood: Accomplished           Music: "Fly" by Hillary Duff

And it finally came to pass. After all the long hours of rehearsals, muscle pulling, brain squeezing, aching...WE ALL DID IT. Lazarus & R.I.O.T was truly an amazing journey for everyone that was involved. Discovered hidden talents and managed to raise up talents as well. I'm especially very proud of each and every individual that committed their energy, time, patience and focus to this production. I believe God is very pleased.

No time to relax now...on with our NEXT "PROJECT" (chuckles)

We had two shows in church, one for the morning service and the other is for the Nepalese Service. Stayed a while longer to celebrate Seahorse's b'day and then took an hour nap b4 we head out to King Crab in Kelana Jaya to celebrate Grandpa's b'day! Truly a day of CELEBRATION huh including our Lord's resurrection!

Da meal was absolutely festive and delicious. We had 2 types of crab (Kam Hiong & Butter Milk), century egg spinach soup, soya steam garoupa, guiness pork and giant prawn peas!

We had dinner till 8ish, mom felt that the nite was still oung and suggested we go for a movie in 1Utama. Din't know what was on till we got there. Thank goodness there was no long queues! The only show that kinda caught our attention was An Empress & Her Generals starring Kelly Chen, Donny yen and Leon Lai (he still looks good after all these years)...

It was a nice story, with occasional heart-warming dialogues and moments.Other than that, nothing that special but I was indeed observing the cinematography lar, it blew me off! Darn, I so need to get a life! 8/10 ler...

MC D SELL WHAT???!!!

Mood: Exstatic            Music: "Feedback" by Janet Jackson

So I was driving mom home from church after our Good Friday celebration and my tummy was giving signs of hunger. She on the other hand was rather thirsty.

Decided that we make a stop at McD near our area there for a light drive-thru supper. It was like almost mid-nite and boy was that area packed with youngsters (not that I'm old!) chilling and stuffing themselves with carbs!

As we were waiting for our turn to order, I asked mom what she would like and to my utter surprise, she asked for SOYA BEAN...

Adrian: What? Hello...MCD where got sell Soya Bean. Siao ar?

Mom: Who say?

Adrian: As far as I am aware, MCD does not sell Soya Bean ok!

Mom: Please lar, that only shows how outdated you are! They promote in newspaper somemore, Nesvitite Soya Bean...

Adrian: (still in denial) Crazy...

Mom: Come on lar, if McD can sell porridge, what makes you think they can't sell Soya Bean? I tell you, sooner or later they will sell Nasi Goreng!

(as mother and son approaches  the ordering machine)

Malay Male: Yea...sila order pesanan?

Adrian: Give me satu Spicy MvChicken Deluxe McValue Meal...

Malay Male: Besar atau regular?

Adrian: Regular...

Malay Male: Lagi?

Adrian: Ade Soya Bean ar?

Malay Male: Ade!

WEEK OF VOLUNTEERY & SCRIPT READING RETREAT!

Mood: Satisfied            Music: "Play" by Britney Spears

The arts community has been very busy during the past weeks with the coming general elections. I was given an opportunity to hop on the bandwagon as a volunteer with campaigning work. From videographing, to making buzz and clipping posters to hanging posters to photographing and uploading, it was truly an eye-opener. Glad to meet new friends along the way especially other young ppl around who cares bout the country. Mark was a great leader and he made the transition easy for me during the last 3 dayz. Tiring but I had a good time. Thankz Mark!

Then came our March 06' Script Reading Retreat which happened for 2 dayz 1 nite in Serendah.I really enjoyed this first-time getaway with my coursemates. Crazy bunch alrite. The only downside to the trip was that we had to babysit some kids which kinda annoy me off and on. Nevertheless, we got work done and that was all that matters. Had a bit of trouble with our dinner for that nite but it was solved in a matter of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Don't ask!

Altogether, we read 6 scripts together and I'm glad I'm exposed to more scripts now although all of them were western plays. Gotta have another meeting to nail down that one play that we like to do for our graduation production! fingers crossed.

I also would like to thank God for leading us there safely and smoothly. I mean, i really did not know how to get there cause ONE, I'm not an outstation driver and TWO, I was a passenger the last time I was there like about 2 months ago. And miraculously, I led the whole pack there without complications! Fooyoh!

VANTAGE POINT WAS FOOYOH!

Mood: Excited Music: "If Tomorrow Never Comes" by Ronan Keating

Had a heavy but delictable lunch with Alvin at TGIF yesterday in Pyramid. I was so hungry so I had to order their RM39.90 set lunch menu. Chosed Mac & Cheese as starters. Steak Mignion (medium rare) as the main dish and Ice-cream Sundae as dessert. It was lovely. I think we sat there for almost 2 hours just chatting and doin catching up.

Was still early then and thought we go check out movies at TGV. Been hearing rave reviews about Vantage Point so we bought tickets and catch the 5pm show. True enough, the show was superbly AWESOME.

1) The story was told in an unconvensional way thru the eyes of 8 very different individuals.
2) The cinematography was fabulous, which causes so much stir n tension throughtout the movie.
3) Suspence and thrill from the very start to the very end. Thank goodness for the ocassional "breaks"
4) The movie have you questioning and wonder who is behind al lthe mess?
5) Story told from various angles which last for 23 minutes real time!

8.5/10 :p

PHOTOSHOOT - KOMAS WORKSHOP - CLUB MEETING - OPEN DAY MEETING!

Mood: Drained        Music: "Please Don't Stop The Music" by Rihanna

Was rather late for today's photoshoot at 11am cause seriously, the parking spaces INSIDE & AROUND the college was packed. I was circling around da area from 10.45am - 11.20am looking for a decent and safe parking space. As I walked into the RTT, Joe was already briefing the attendees. We're suppose to dress up the way we envisioned ourselves 5 years later. I obviously came wearing black, equipped with my maglight, prompt book, black shoes and gaffer tape so I would give some hint that I'm a stage manager. This is for our department video which wil be used to market the course.

Well, according to Melissa, a WANNABE for now...aahahaha...!

Had a quick lunch at the cafetaria and printed my Production Schedule & Budggeting assignment to be handed in to Melissa. Went str8 to C4.1 for KOMAS Workshop where they featured an indie film made by a past contestant and gave us tips on submitting a film proposal to be made in this year's Freedom Film Festival. Definitely a cool bunch with a good cause.

After the event, a few of us were supposed to have a meeting on our Drama + Film club but I found out then that there is already a Performance Club set up. Marched str8 into the student services department and got some details. Things were sorted out and made clear when I phoned the President (who is a friend of mine which i din't know) and we did some catching up instead.

We carried out the club meeting with a temp-comittee featuring Mua, Soni, Faiq, Baloo, Sam Joanna Soh and Rebecca. We discussed a list of steps which I dug out from my Mgmt Texkbook which of course collected dust. From Vision/Objective to Mission Statement to Club Characteristics, Strategies and  Implementation to Evaluation. fooyoh, that took up almost 2 hours, just sitting there brainstorming and have constructive discussion. The club should be functioning in March :p

Puay Tin came in at 5.30pm and we had an hour meeting on Open Day performance line-up. I'm glad we're moving forward and got a number of pieces confirmed. I'm looking forward to Tech-Run and hopefully everything wil lrun smoothly by then. Fingers crossed. Production/Stage Mananging the event for the department.

STEP UP 2: THE STREETS

Mood: Sleepy                      Music: "With You" by Chris Brown

It was pretty spontaneous of me to watch the movie. I was in front of my pc doing some paper work about 7ish and suddenly Joey drop me a msg in MSN asking whether have I seen the movie.

I was like..."There is actually a Step Up 2? A sequel?" And he was like YEA. Was wondering how come I did not see any trailers or posters around. Joey himself saw the trailer on Youtube.com. So I went to GSC.com and check da movie out and it seems it is already out. There were two shows left, one at 10pm and the other at 12.10qm.

Both Joey and me are suckers for dance movies cause we love dancing our butts off. Well, he is into breakdance of course while I'm more into stylish mainstream moves. So I decided to get da 12.10am movie which happens after cell group.

Da show wasn't as good as I expected it to be. While Step Up 1 was more specialized in Ballet & hardcore hip hop, the sequel was a mixture of everything. From breakdance, to electric boogey to hip hop and jazz to ballet and krump to popping and steppin to latin salsa...it was like rojak lar.

Basically in the streets, you bring whatever flava you have on the floor as long as it is new and fresh but watching it on screen, da choreographies were nice but there wasn't anything new lar. In the sequel, there were more storyline than dancin. Da main actress is hot though while Cassie who played the jealous girlfriend was pretty much a dissapointment since she played such a minor role with so little dance opportunity.

I'm giving da show 6/10 but if you need a spark of inspiration or just wanna relax and enjoy the saucy music, it is still ok to watch lar.

PRODUCTION LINE-UPS FOR 2008!

Mood: Excited          Music: "Take You There" by Sean Kingston

This year is definitely gonna be one exciting ride for me. Plenty of production line-ups already in place and just waiting to be fulfilled.

Sunway University College Open Day - Will be assisting the department to come up with a performance line-up featuring some of the student's work over the semester. Kinda like my first Production Stage Mgmt project where I'll need to gather crew, create a rehearsal schedule, work out an agenda, set up the place and ensure a smooth run on the day itself.

Easter Production - Currently working very closely with Yvette with choreography and directing a short musical drama as well as a dance performance for Easter. Pretty happy with the development so far.

Experimental Theatre - Our remarkable Melissa Teoh will be debuting her first directorial project with my intake. Rehearsals will begin in March and the opening nite will be on May 16. Two solid months to come up with a good performance.

Graduating Performance - March 06 intake will have to work together very closely as united as possible to come up with stage production. Still scouting for scripts and keeping my fingers crossed. Rehearsals would begin in May and the opning nite should happen on July 19.

Internship - I'm already in the midst of scouting for a theatre company that would have a staging by the end of the year. They usually hire production personales like stage managers pretty early so I don't wanna miss the ride. I'm hoping to work particularly on a musical cause the scale is usually large and you learn A LOT from there.

Written Musical - Most people do not know (till now) that I actually wrote a full fledge musical for the church (inspired by God). We're planning to stage it at the end of the year. We've already begun with pre-production work and hoping to build the musical by August so we can start rehearsing. Gotta build every little thing from scratch since it is an original production. Fingers crossed too.

I'm pretty excited bout the line-up and I know everything will be good. In the process I'll definitely sharpen my time mgmt skills. that's all for now :p

2 MOVIES AT A GO!

Mood: Happy           Music: "Stop & Stare" by One Republic

Went over to Ah Pek's house for CNY visitation. Get to see all my wonderful and grown up cousins at a go. Kong Kong looked really happy to see us.

Had a short game of Texas Hold'em with them and I amakn semua chips. Ahaha...din't play with money cause it's not right...(yea right)

Anywayz, I needed to go to mid Valley to drop some stuff off with Melissa and mom pulak wanted to watch a movie to relax. Went to gsc.com and checked the timing and for some crsazy reason, we decided to watch two movies instead since it was CNY and we were in a festive mood. The kids tag along as well.

Meet The Spartans is a BIG NO...NO! Yes, we are aware it is a stupid movie and thats why we pay the money for a good laugh...guess what? IT WASN'T FARNEY AT ALL and they ditched Britney 3 times. URGH. 2/10 for a really lousy movie.

Kunf Fu dunk on the other hand was quite entertaining, As much as Jay Chou was a poser (as usual), I thought he had a good eye for visuals and compostion throughout the whole movie since he is also the director. The storyline was good and all til lthe very end as it became too far-fetched. Other than that, we had a good time watching the show. Did a good job lar. 7.5/10!

PENANG SUMMARY :p

Mood: Happy         Music: "Penang" from P.Ramlee: The Musical

So proud of meself for being able to drive my family up to Penang for the very first time. Dad couldn't come with us so I brought Mom, Grandpa, Grandma and Eu Ston to Penang. The journey was definitely an interesting and educational as I learnt that towards North the road is windy especially b4 Ipoh! the journey was 3 hours and 40 minutes.

We stayed at Trader's Hotel in the middle of the city next to Komtar as it was easy to get around and mom got special rates, ngek, ngek, ngek!

For some interesting reason, mom actually rembers landmarks very well as it was hassle free when we had to get to a specific location to eat certian food. Like the Esplanade for Mee Rebus Sotong and Ayer Itam for Assam Laksa. Gurney Drive was packed as usual so we decided to tar pau the food and sit next to the beach and makan there. People were crazily blowing fireworks all around the ocean.

I tried something really new n yummylicious this time round in Penang that I've never tried in mylife. Coconut Shake! Fooyoh, it was soooooooooo yummy that I regret I din't order a second glass! See if I can create my own cocnut Shake at home or not!

I would say it was a fulfilling trip as we really makan from day til lnite non-stop and we get to eat all of our favourite food. I was so full that I din't get to try Patsumbur. Maybe next round.

Driving home was really a hassle because there were occasional cralws and Grandpa got lost in Tapah resthouse. Yea, don't ask! Took us 6 hours alltogether to reach home on Saturday.

Oh did I mention we tar pau 30 packets of Assam Laksa home?

CARE FOR YOUR CAR DAY!

Mood: Exausted             Music: "Cadillac" by Dreamgirls

Woke up like super early today (couldn't even beat Melissa to it) to get my car checked n fixed for the new year. Me and mommy got up at 6.45am and drove ourselves all the way to Kia Service Center in Setapak. Why Setapak? Cause they are huge and they have more canggih equipments to handle your car compared to the mini Puchong wan. So proud of myself that I could actually remember how to get there without hassle.

Anywayz, with jam taken into consideration, we arrived at 8.45am and str8 away got our car in to the doctor's office. It was one crazy wait alrite! If it wasn't for mommy, our car would have been in the waiting line for hours. They finally brought our car in at 10.30am and by 12pm, we got some of the diagnosis. In short, the car is in pretty bad condition lar...

Dad came close to 3pm to pick us up and the saga wasn't over. He left us at Kepong Garden to get the air-cond fixed for a cheaper price and we were there till 6.30pm.

By the end of it, me and mom got home with a slight headache! Horrible experience but someone got to do it.

I was walking towards the escalator and I heard this sound...eh...eh...bang...belum bayar...I looked back and I saw this kesian foreign lady chasing after me and i was so...so embarassed...kept on saying sorry until she returned my change. By the way, it was RM9.20!

FACIAL - VOICES - BAKERZINE - ZARA

Mood: Shiok                Music: "Hung Up" by Madonna

Went for a good and thorough facial therapy today at My Solutions at The Curve, great deal package for only RM50.50 with complete stuff. Loved the head massaging part. Mom was suppose to join me together-gether but she had some errands to run so ended up me pergi alone.

Had a very good Voices meeting today in church. got loads of things nailled down for the year and had a good chat session with my beloved youths. I beleive it is gonna be a great year for all of us in Christ.

Had dinner with mommy in Bakerzine and we got this really awesome deal, whereby you buy one item and get another for free. So I ordered one Seafood Spaghetthi while mom got Penne in Pink for free for dinner. As for desert, I ordered Warm Chocolate of course and mom got her Chocolate Suffellete fpr free. It was completely indulging because CHOCOLATE MAKES ME HAPPY!  Da vanilla ice-cream was chilling while the chocolate desert was warm n hot. Lovely...

Mom decided to pop into Zara cause they had clearance sale and ended up I came out from the boutique with two really stylo and smart shirts. for some reason, I realize I tend to buy new clothes in the beginning of every year.

SERENDAH WAS SERENE...

Mood: Peaceful                  Music: "1973" James Blunt

Da trip was awesome. Perfect way to start the year before going back to college. Needed a getaway badly just to clear my mind and have a fresh start. www.serendah.com > check da website out for pictures and details of da lovely yet hidden place. Living in the jungle was an experience alrite and it wasn't as bad as you think. Da air is freah, da water is cool, da sound of insects and birds are harmonious...wah...it was bliss!

Da waterfall was so refreshing while the trip to Selangor Damp was spectacular. An entire valley flooded with water, it was so windy and quiet there. Visited Antaras a.k.a Kit Lee in Kampung Pertak and he was really nice to welcome us for tea and chit chat.

REFLECTING ON 2007, THE YEAR THAT WAS

Mood: Reflective          Music: "Tattoo" by Jordin Sparkx

2007 was definitely an eventful year for me. I guess I can safely say I did make use of it and did rather meaningful stuff here and there. Turning 23 this year was definitely a highlight as I notice myself growing to be less spoilt and more mature. Learnt a lof of stuff in my final academic semester... Enough said! Here are some of the positive (and not so positive) highlights for 2007:

Jan 1 - Kicked-start my daily intake of fruit juice regime.

Jan 3 - Spent RM600 in 3 hours. What was I thinking?

Jan 15 - Covered Akon's showcase in RUUM's KL. Had VIP/Media treatment.

Jan 24 - MTV's very own VJ UTT a.k.a Greg Uttsada Panichkul was in my house while I was miserably sitting in class.

Feb 7 - Had cronic allergic reaction to some useless shellfish. Pretty severe as it was all internal reaction. Had 3 heavy japs here and there with 3 different drugs. I believe i was high on the clinic bed.

Feb 21 - I played Torvald Helmer in A Doll's House for my exam piece.

Mar 3 - Woohoo, my very first production bump-in. It was definitely interesting working behind the scenes. Was also the Front-Of-House Manager for The Coffin Is Too Big for The Hole. I dislike blue-tags ever since.

Mar 18 - Attended this theatre workshop with Puay Tin & Mark Teh and was certified on Open Day after our showcase!

Mar 24 - Wrote my very first poem which dunno came from where entitled Come Away With Me.

Apr 8 - Thankz to mom, me and Dao went to Kanye West's concert in Stadium Merdeka.

May 2 - Had an awesome getaway in Redang to rest and ponder about life with other Youth Leaders. Thankz to Yvelyn for organizing the trip!

May 12 - I'm a professional Kesi player. Did a full fledge wayang kulit performance at the Rooftop Theatre with my bestest frens from March & August intake. Thankz a lot Pak Nasir, you're the man!

May 14 - Caridee won America's Next top Model! Ahahaha...love her.

Jun 2 - Yik Yung went back to be with the Lord. Miss ya dude! Ser Keat is doing extremely well with us.

Jul 12 - Whoa, thankz to Melissa, I got a job as a marketing assistant with Intan Budaya Presentations for the Broadway musical, King & I. It was definitely a memorable experience. I miss roaming around the theatre from morning till the next morning.

Jul 30 - My first time charing in church. It was nerve-wrecking but cool.

Aug 1 - Whoa, Yvelyn passed the bacon (i meant Baton) to me and I became the Youth Leader of Voices Ministry in F.G.A Sungai Buloh. Definitely an important highlight for the year. Learnt a lot to be a caring shepherd to many sheeps.

Aug 18 - Went for a family trip in Pangkor Island. It was filled with food and photo snappin for me. Had time to rest as well.

Aug 22 - Results for the last semester came out and thank God I managed to maintain a merit CGPA.

Sep 7 - Woohoo, my first go as a STAGE MANAGER! It was hell I must say BUT I have better confidence in myself and have a good taste of what izit like to be like errm...you know who...(chuckles). Important lesson, carry a roll of gauffer tape and masking tape WHEREVER you go and don't loose the KEYS! The play was Lao Jiu: The 9th Born.

Nov 2 - This production to me deserves to be mentioned in my blog again because I was truly inspired and really loved the show. P.Ramlee The Musical was brilliant! I loveee it. Got this urge to join Enfinity Productions somewhere down the road...Thank you so much Vernon for the very exspensive tickets.

Nov 15 - This is the day I finally broke down and was all down to the core in my spirit and emotion. I let someone down who I really look up to and it hit me rite where it hurts most, my heart. Hey, we all have our ups n down so is really not a biggie. The good news is, I managed to pull myself together after a week of depression and just focus on my work. This is still a success story lar because it was so giler close to my exams!

Nov 30 - Wow, I wrote my very first short screenplay which I'm truly proud of. I titled it as Sunset. Thankz to Bernice's guidance and patience.

Dec 3 - I had a good time directing this short scene from The Diaries Of Adam & Eve where Melissa really put our directing skills to the test. I wanna thank Gary & Divya for their sacrifice and hardwork. it was also a pleasure being directed by Soni in Fat Pig. I had fun playing Carter as much as it was tough creating him during the rehearsals.

Dec 7 - Fooyoh, I am truly happy and proud to produce quite a number of good media work over this semester. I directed and edited n acted in my very own music video entitled Huang Hun (thankz ERI PENG), shot a good short-film with my team members entitled A Resort To Munchies where I was the cinematographer for the 1st time, acted and directed short monologues with Zalikha. It was tough but I'm very happy with all the result despite the stress. Thankz a lot Joe Yan and James Lee for your teachings and patience!

Dec 11 - Reunited with Koon Chan again with an upcoming dance performance for Bauchs & Lomb Annual Dinner. We're chereographing something quite stylish with Britney's Break The Ice.

Dec 23 - Directed a 20 minute presentation in church entitled Do Not Take Christ Out Of Christmas! I'm glad everyone loved it. This is our very first original presentation.

Well to sum it all up, I believe 2007 was a year of creation for me where i really put my creative abilities to the test. It is also a year of refining and a lot of growing up to do as there were some rough moments and lows that i had to deal with on my own. With the help and grace of God, is my testimony to say that God really did see me thru the year and I'm glad I could end 2007 with a BIG BIG SMILE and with an easy breath. Awesome...definitely awesome year!

Oh my goodness, how on earth I do it man??? Woke up early today, say 8.45am to prepare some stuff and have a quick breakfast before I go pick Terence up for today's final DRESS REHEARSAL. Our Christmas Presentation is tomorrow. We managed to get loads of things done, just tighthenin the show and ensure smooth and hassle free transitions for each scene of the play. FINGERS CROSSED!

Was in church from 10am - 1pm and had to stay back to clear stuff for the Chinese service which lasted till 3pm.

Oh, MOM is in Penang working and enjoying Assam Laksa...ISH!

Had dinner with meself at the Thai shop nearby, ordered this really juicy Steam Siakap dgn limau which cost me a bomb. Half way eating realized I tak cukup wang. Called dad come and rescue me.

TEA TIME - THE ILLUSION

Mood: Happy                 Music: "1973" by James Blunt

It was really nice having tea time with mom at The curve. We went to this place called California Cafe (originally Haagen-Dazz Cafe) for a tea set. Had some cakes, sandwiches, puffs and tea. Just sitting there chillin and enjoy the music from the lovely quartet playing outside, watching people stroll by in the festive season.

Walked around and there were loads of shops on sale but somehow din't really find anything that we really like. Mom bought herself two well taylored jackets though while I just look-see-look-see past season items on display. Pretty dull and pase...

Tried the lastest Armani Perfume, Attitude, which was rather heavy on the nose.

Went for a lovely dinner at a newly opened Indonesian restraunt which was pretty ok. Da ikan bakar was good. At the same time discovered this super-awesome Korean buffet restraunt which is 3 months old which we will visit around Christmas. Can't wait!

Rushed to Dram Projects in SS17 to catch Kelvin Wong's 'The Illusion' with Zalikha in it. Love the material and the story behind it all. Had a few problems with certain things but nevertheless, I liked it. I thought the set design was top notch. General acting wise and line deliveries, there's still room for improvement ler. I'm giving it a 7/10. Good production and cast team. Keep up the good work ORAL STAGE!

MEXICAN - BREAK THE ICE

Mood: Fulfilled              Music: "Break The Ice" by Britney Spears

Whoa, wat a day! Finally can brag bout visiting PAVILLION in Bukit Bintang. Really like the architecture and design of da place. So, clean, so bright, so new and most of all, so spacious. Gosh, fashion haven, so tempting but no money to buy anything. Want a FOSSIL watch, a MARC JACOBS shirt, ARMANI sunglasses, GUESS jeans...wah...giler siut! Can't wait to work!

Brought Adeline and Dao there for lunch and we had MEXICAN food for da first time at Carlos Canteena. OH MY GOSH...the oysters were exquisite n cheap. RM2 each and we all had a couple of those. Ordered Carlos Special beef ribs and Mix Fajitas. Had grapefruit juice, cranberry juice and chocolate shake. It was lovely. Still thinking bout rhe oysters though.

Came home around 4ish, had a short nap and then got up at 6pm to work on da dance routine. Chereographing and performing to Britney's "Break The Ice" for Shiou Wei's company annual dinner. Quite glad can start workin on my body again... much more healthier!

STATE THE OBVIOUS...

Mood: Fulfilled                 Music: "Break The Ice" by Britney Spears

Whoa, wat an amazing dinner. Yvette treated me and munchkin juicy steak at Jake's Charboil in Bangsar. I had Bombay Steak, medium rare and it was lovely. Da mustard sauce with wasabi came as a shock though...went str8 to my head.

So yea, another philosophy for da day, sometimes it is good to state the obvious! You know how we like to assume or just leave it to ppl's assumption...that really breaks the communication chain. STATE THE OBVIOUS...it won't hurt a bit!

Thankz Yvette for da lovely dinner. Really had a good time. HUGZ

POSSIBLE & PROBABLE - THE BLACK SWAN

Mood: Enlighthen                  Music: "1973" by James Blunt

So I went to Tesco today to do grocery shoppin for meself cause I'll be at home most dayz and I need to feed and fatten myself during meals. Had tea with Dao at Kopitiam at Da Curve and he told me a very interesting story bout Risk Mgmt...this is how it goes...

So people only knew swans were WHITE in colour. There came this guy who told everyone swans can also be BLACK in colour. Based on their own understanding of fairy tales and novels, there has never been a mention bout black swans. EVERYBODY was convinced there were only white swans. Then came a time during winter where a black swan appeared in the midst of the people and they were all proven wrong.

It only takes ONE to change everything. Alwayz consider other possibilites and probabilities no matter how sure you are!

1 DOWN 4 MORE TO GO...

Mood: Hopeful               Music: "A.D.D." by Bathsheba

Yay...I'm officially a screen-writer...woohoo! Submitted my 'baby' this afternoon to Bernice and that wraps up my Play + Screen Writing class. One unit down and four more to go.

Incidentally, I broke my record for staying in college for the longest hour. I was at college since 9am this mornin to shoot my monologue scene for James Lee's class. The shoot took me and Zalikha 3 hours. Attended Bernice's class and used the remains of the evenings, say 6 hours to edit my footages. I wasted two hour trying to log + capture my footages into the lamo mac using Final Cut Express.

Baloo, thank you so much for the camera. It really helped to da max... and just to reconfirm Zalikha, I really did not break the mirror for aesthetic purposes...(chuckles)

Left college at 2am and now I'm here resting and chillin b4 I continue on storyboarding. Things are coming together for me and I'm just amazed how much I have tahan/endured.Definitely by the grace of God and support of my wonderful mates.

Thankz Eri, Charlene, Grace for being there!

Dao, I'm still counting on the Singapore trip man. Fingers crossed, really wanna leave Kuala Lumpur for a week and just chill and spend time with meself. But first, boleh teman I pergi renew passport tak? (paiseh...paiseh)

I'M TRYING NOT TO BREAK!

Mood: Pain                  Music: "Piece Of Me" by Britney Spears

It's like a broken car windshield. I'm trying to hold on but there are times it feels heavy and I'm too weak to keep it up any longer. Never knew I can be so weak...

It started with a blow but nothing really happened. Like the windshield, as time passes, the cracks seems to spread and become more severe. I'm really trying to hold it up but it keeps coming back to hurt me... It's really painful keeping myself up! Never knew it could be this difficult!

I cannot...cannot...cannot tumble until Dec 7! Only after that, I can break and shut myself from humanity for maybe a few dayz, maximum a week...I know I heal fast. Right now, just keep on pushing...pushing...pushing....

Oh Lord, only you can help me thru this...PLEASE!

AN EVENING AT KL TOWER!

Mood: Happy                 Music: "Piece Of Me" by Britney Spears

It was beautiful...It was mezmerising simply because the cityscape glowed during sunset. I was very particular bout the time we should arrive exactly at KL TOWER. No matter what, we need to be there b4 7pm.

Once we arrived, mom headed str8 to the duty free shop to buy stuff. Me on the other hand was walking around like a crazee photogrpaher snapping different locales at different angles for my story. I needed to get as many pictures as possible because that particular mood and setting will vanish quickly.

This is for my final assignment where I have to write a screenplay based on a particular location in Kuala Lumpur. I was assigned KL TOWER. I wanted to capture the beauty of the city during the sunset and with the photographs I captured, I'm gonna create a story/drama that will take place in that exact location. Pretty excited bout it cause this will be my first screenplay. I really hope to write a good one cause one day, I wish it would be filmed for real!

FINGERS CROSSED...

Had dinner with mom at The Marketplace at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, it was exquisite!

IT'S A WRAP!

Mood: Exausted              Music: "Break The Ice" by Britney Spears

Wahliao...the day started at 10am and ended at 2.30am for me. This is what happens if you do production work. And I don't mean pre or post production work yet, I mean literally production work.

So I picked Zalikha a.k.a Bathsheba up from Drams at 12pm and headed straight to college by 12.30pm. We left at 12.45pm picking up Eri, Bryant & Nick. Reached BANDAR BARU BANGI at 1.45pm. Had lunch and chilled till 3pm.

From 3pm onwards, our director Zalikha worked on the scenes with the actors at different locales. THE GARDEN, THE BEDROOM, THE BATHROOM, THE HALL...Rehearsals went for quite bit cause we really wanted to nail down the scenes and capturing the exact moment for footage. During rehearsals, the cinematographer (which is ME) had the opportunity to explore n experiment with different styles and angles to capture a particular scene.

By 6pm, we knew we had to start shooting as the sunlight would take a change drastically...We were so very close in getting all our footages under the natural sunlight.

Night came and we were shooting indoors all the way with the help of the ARII lights. It is usually the light set-up that takes the longest time, followed by getting the best camera composition and then shooting the scene for real.

We were very blessed as the weather was beautiful and Zalikha's aunt provided us lunch and dinner. We were a great team as there were unity in the way we worked AND everyone were co-orperative and gave positive energy. As much as the process can be quite tiring and dreadful, we managed to pull thru as a team. PHEW...

We also wanna thank Nick Davis for volunteering to help us out. And to my team mates, Zalikha, Eri & Bryant, WE DID IT...Now what matters most is post-production work. Gotta spend weeks to edit our footages perfectly to bring our story to live. FINGERS-CROSSED!

A very fruitful DEEPAVALI!

P.RAMLEE OUR REMY!

Mood: Touched           Music: "Kasih Sejati" by Siti Nurhaliza

I almost cried from where I was sitting in the auditorium. It was beautiful...it was magical...watching the life, the love and the inspiration of P.Ramlee being enacted right b4 my eyes. I was so overwhelmed and captivated by the production. I was inspired, so inspired, hoping one day, I'll be a part of an amazing production such as this.

Yes, I almost cried...There were great moments captured on stage. The songs and scores sung by those amazing actors swept me through a wonderful journey into the life of P.Ramlee. The set was absurdly grand. The lights magically brought the environment to life. As much as I don't know P.Ramlee personally, suddenly I miss him to da max.

Azizah...you were the one...you were the one that started it all. Saloma, thank you for standing by his side all these while.

Encore...encore...SPECTACULAR PRODUCTION. Great work and thankz Tiara Jacquelina! I'll be patiently waiting for soundtrack

Thank you Vernon, thank you so very much for the expsensive ticket.

HUANG HUN 1ST DRAFT COMPLETED!

Mood:     HAPPY            Music: "Huang Hun" by Zhang Dong Liang

Decided to stay back and work on my 5 minute long music video today since the semester is nearing to an end in a month's time. Still loads of work to catch up on and don't wanna strangle myself towards the end.

Is actually the best time now to work on the BIG MAC since not many people have footages to edit but I'm foreseeing chaos among the students in weeks to come cause everyone would wanna use Final Cut Pro and there is like only one for everyone.

I'm glad i got my entire music video string together. Just need to show joe my 2nd draft and will go str8 to touch up and dressing once I get his approval. Ooo...fingers crossed.

9AM TO 11PM!

Mood: Exausted          Music: "Gimme More" by Britney Spears

Giler siut! Was up since 9am in da mornin and just got home not too long ago about 11.30pm.

Had Joe's AV Post-Production class today at 9.30am till 1.30. After that we had an omnium with Melissa till 3pm. Stayed in the media room to work on my editing project (coming pretty neatly, fingers crossed). At 6, we had a post-production meeting at Sunway Pyramid. Had to rush off at 8.30pm cause I had to rehearse my Stage Direting scene with my fellow actors (found new acting vocabularies/resources to play with, fingers crossed) and wrapped the day up at 11.30pm.

I think my schedule would be stabalize by this weekend. Syncronizing my schedule n workload with deadlines. FINGERS CROSSED!

THE LONGEST BLOG ENTRY EVER!

Mood: Happy      Music: "Imagine Me Without You" by Jaci Velasquez

Have no fear...Adrian hasn't left the blogsphere! Been really busy wearing many different hats for the past month. Now that everything has settle down, I have time for myself to REFLECT on the happenings that occured. Here goes, working backwards!

STAGE MANAGER: It has been such an amazing n overwhelming experience working on the production of Lao Jiu: The 9th Born. I've learnt a lot under the guidance of Puay Tin, Melissa & Sek Thim. Definitely got a good taste of what izit like to be a stage manager and what is required of me. I felt like I have been shaped by this whole journey for the past 2 months from rehearsals, to tech-week, to performance day. Say it with me, a stage manager REHEARSE, RUN & RESCUE! Thankz for all the assistance, Jojo & Olivia. Love ya heaps!

FOOD POISONING: That was such a horrible experience. Had a bad lambchop and went thru 'detoxifying' process for 4 full dayz! Lost weight and trying to regain what I've lost. Buffet anyone? Nevertheless, I do believe it was God's message to me that I was overworking myself.

THE LOST & THE ECLIPTIC: Even in my busiest schedule, I'm glad I had the chance to catch a stage performance at KLPAC during the Raya Break. Well I was a little bit dissapointed with the production only because I came with high expectations. Heard a lot of buzz about their supercool special lighting n sound effects and how the blackbox is transformed into some magical space. Well, I wasn't that thrilled BUT, I was realy intrigued by the content and performance by the actors. To me, it was a relationship between man & space and how these two come together and form a story!

OCT 15: Supposed to be a celebrative occasion but I wasn't really excited bout it happening. No, not really in denial that I'm a year older. Just that it suddenly loose it's meaning for me. Ever since I past 21, Birthdays isn't really a big a deal to me anymore. Having said that, I'm thankful for the expensive treat my mom gave to all the October babies in the family. Went to Tai Thong Kepong and had a 10 course. Was pretty fun able to karaoke at the same time with all my lovely aunties.

SPA RETREAT: It was paradise! I needed to rejuvenate and regain my original self. As the masseur massage my body, fooyoh, I felt every bone n muscle was returning n rewiring itself to it's original position. I came out feeling so good and ready to conquer all cause I was pretty exausted with all my responsibilities. Thank God it was a birthday promo, 40% + 20% discount. Saved so much.

GARDEN: We have a garden now outside our house. Dad obtain green fingers lately. His new found hobby. The lawn looks pretty neat but me n my mom have some quilms bout the colour combinations. Oh well, nature has alwayz been my best fren so I wouldn't complain so much now that we have greenaries at home.

MORE SCRIPTS: Lately, I've been exposed to many different scripts form various authors from various times. I think is super awesome that our courses require us to study, read n perform different materials. From Galileo to Murder In The Cathedral to Waiting For Godot to Diaries Of Adam & Eve to writing my very own short scene, I think I'm cultivating a good habit, for a lazy person like me.

LAO JIU: I'm glad the audience loved what our department is doin but most of all, I'm super happy that my parents are beginning to understand what is it I'm actually doing. They themselves never knew going to a theatre performance can be such a fun experience. YAY!

BACK TO STUDENT MODE: Now with all these behind me, I'm definitely moving forward and keeping my eyes focused as a student. Time to meet deadlines and produce interesting n creative works in my various courses. From Stage Directing to Writing to AV Post Production to Modern Theatre to Acting + Directing For Camera, I really wanna push my CGPA a notch higher to try for scholarship! Fingers crossed.

And this wraps up the longest blog enter ever written! PEACE :p

WILD DUCK...LAO JIU..4:48 PSYCHOSIS!

Mood     : Enlighthen         Music     : "Weighted Wanted" by Hypercubes

So the very first thing I was exposed to this mornin, like literally 7.45am was WILD DUCK by Henrik Ibsen. Boy was it chatty and long winded. Finally I reached ACT 3 and the revelation or the heartbeat of the play was revealed. The story of a wild duck which is winged (shot at the wings) and you keep it locked in an attic and feed it fresh water. Sooner or later, it will just settle down and forget bout the open sky and waters. Hit me pretty hard in the face. Aren't we all like the wild duck. "People" take away our wing (freedom) and condition us to live a supposedly "better life" and we settle down and completely ignorant but the reality of things...

And then I read on Lao Jiu by Kuo Pao Kun as the seniors did their rehearsal. Was following thru and I could easily relate to the Asian mentality when it comes to the ARTS. This 4 letter word seems to be a taboo in a lot of Asian families. I was definitely emphatizing for Lao Jiu/ You Wei!

8.30pm came and I was at KLPAC for Gavin's directorial project of 4.48 Psychosis by Srah Kane. Boy, was I glad to see my R.AGE article being posted at the main entrance for all who care to read. Muahahaha....MELISSA! Go look out for it.

Anywayz, Phychosis was rather disturbing, I'm glad I TRIED to relate to the story which means, the good news is, I aint that psycho. I believe everyone of us have a dark crazee side. Mine isn't that dark lar so there were parts which I completely gave up. Other than that, I think this is one of Gavin's coolest piece. Dark as usual but edgy and cool. Worked for me lar especially the lights n the way the characters were formed!

Mood     : Accomplished        Music     : "Everybody" by Britney Spears

It's official...Adrian will be Stage Managing the Sep 05' intake graduction performance of Lao Jiu. Started work today and it lasted till 9pm. Wanted to leave early for cellgroup but they needed me to handle a few stuff so rehearsals can go on smoothly.

Got loads to catch up cause rehearsals have been on-going for 2 weeks now. Glad I quickly got into the zone and get str8 into business.

Loads to observe and loads to take note. Was focused and observing every minute of the rehearsal. I really had a good time cause I instantly enjoyed the opening scene. Can't wait to follow the evolving process and see the production grow. This is gonna be one rollercoaster ride. Ooo, got my prompt book and ready for action...RUN...REHEARSE...RESCUE!

MORNIN DIM SUM - GERMAN DINNER

Mood     : Filled              Music     : "Gimme More" by Britney Spears

Wanted to have unique breakfast today so mom suggested we have dim sum. Not sure where got good dim sum around PJ so gave our very helpful Ms. Adeline Chew a call and she led us to SS13. Da place is called Unique Seafood next to Ah Yat Restraunt. Da menu was rather costly so we din't order much. but when we got the bill, to our utter surprise, all dim sum dish were HALF PRICED. Should have ordered more Siu Loong Pau. Da food was really tasty and delicious. One drawback though, its halal. But I encourage everyone to try once, its really good.

Went home, chill and rest and next thing we know, it was time for dinner. Dad suggested we try German food. Bavaria Bierhaus at Da curve. One of it's kind in da city and serves authentic German cuisine. We had German Pork Knuckles and Bratwurst sausages. It was huge but extraordinary scrupmtious. So well rosted to perfection. Tried German beer and it's quite different from the Heinekenss we drink. It's heavier but much sweeter. Shoudl go there chil lwith frens for once.

P/S: Melissa & Joe, care to try out?

MELISSA...GAVIN YAP...TUNKU

Mood     : Tired                 Music     : "What's Your Comment?" by Tunku

Yesterday was pretty much a long day for me simply because my time was like LIMBO, not here not there!

So I was in college from 10am till 3 somethin. Had Stage Directing class with Melissa! Was so hungry so I went str8 to Tony Roma's for lunch. Had fried mushrooms and buffalo wings sandwich.

By the time I was done, it was almost almost 5 so I thought might as well go str8 to KLPAC so I won't get caught in a jam and risk being late for the interview session. Was already restless by then.

Reached KLPAC at 5 somethin so I did some work with The Shape Of Things while waiting for Gavin & Malik to arrive. Had teh tarik. They were early by 10 minutes so we got str8 to the interview and photoshoot. I'm interviewing them for 4.48 Psychosis, Gavin's 6th directorial project.

Was done by 6.45pm and I basically had to wait till 8.30pm for TUNKU: THE MUSICAL! I was really sleepy by then so I took out another book to read while waiting. The show started and I wasn't that impressed with it lar. i loved the costume changes and the some of the scores. Was glad to see Joylyn and Zachary on stage.

CHURCH...CLEANIN...CHILLIN

Mood     : Accomplished        Music     : "Check On It" by Beyonce Knowles

It's one of those weekends you don't get to nap but get to do somethin more productive and healthy.

So after church I went for lunch with mommy at Taman Tun. She had Curry Mee and I had Prawn Mee. Sent her home and changed to a lighter outfit for college.

Helped out with Spring Cleanin for our department with UMMI and I had a good time. Farney but seriously, I do like things in order and neat. Was glad I could help tidy up our department and do my bit for our course. Everybody was so busy including Puay Tin, Melissa n Shamila. Managed to get 405 storeroom, 405A n 406 in order. I think both Ummi and I did well.

Went home and bath and str8 away went to 1Utama with mom. Had dinner at Bakerzine. She had Millannese Fish while I ordered Fettucini Meatball with Rosemary Spicy Tomato Sauce (what a mouthfull)! We noticed too they added new stuff to the menu so that was good news. Oh, we had Ratatouille for starters, grilled veg that is sooo tasty and tangy.

RESULTS OUT...OMG!

Mood     : Happy              Music     : "Lovestoned" by J.T

Today's omnium gatherum was informative n fulfilling. Started out with Aaron n gang giving us a talk on a workshop they attended. It was brilliant and smooth. Got me thinkin about my stance in society. Guilty for being ignorant as usual. Gosh, what am I gonna do next?

Then Puay Tin made a few announcements and came the results. OUR RESULTS for last sem. My heart of course suddenly went 5th gear. Ihad a vision that I'm gonna see 2C's on that paper cause I thought I din't meet the high expectations for Sound + Image & World Cinema. Furthermore, last semester was pretty heavy with 6 units.

And then I received my results and to my surprise 1A & 5B...I was shocked of course! Shocked not a C and rather embarrased knowing how lenion our lecturers were. So I just sat still and kept quiet knowing I got more than I deserve. But one thing I'm really glad is that I remain as a MERIT student. My goal is definitely keeping my CGPA above 3.0/4! Gotta work extra hard to push it up above 3.5/4 if I wanna be a DISTINCTION student. Wah!!!

Anyhow, all those long...long hours last sem did paid off lar. Learnt a lot and definitely know more. Happy with da results.

WEIRD MORNIN URGE!

Mood     : Accomplished          Music     : "Play" by J.LO

Today is da first day of a new semester. Woke up rather early at 10am for no particular reason. Yes, I mean I was excited to get back into the scene but that wasn't really da case why I got up early. Class begins at 2pm.

For some weird reason, I had a very strong urge to tidy up and reorganize my room. I felt it was so all over da place till a point the more I look at it, the more I wanna abandone da room. Hmm, reminds me of the ABANDONED SPACE.

Anyhow, I started with the bed. Then da table. Then da pile of notes, books and everything paper-based. Fooyoh, that wasn't a pleasant sight. Loads went to the bin and finally, I have one clean and tidy room to be proud of. Ish, wonder why it wasn't done throughout my semester break. (roll eyes all over)

Gonna take a good bath now and get ready for class with Bernice Chauly.

FIREWORKS WASN'T THAT IMPRESSIVE!

Mood     : Dissapointed          Music     : "Fever" by Beyonce Knowles

Dad suggested we bring Aunty Mona & Hiroshi to Putrajaya to see da city night lights as well as the FIREWORKS DISPLAY by our country for the international competition.

So we drove there and soon realize many people were very keen as well. I mean like MANY people. Found ourselves a lovely spot around a quiet housing area on a hill which has a clear view of the BRIDGE.

Da firworks started at 10pm instead of 10.30 as advertised. It ran for 20 minutes and the only interesting display was the hanging pattern which flew across the sky for almost a minute without fading off. There were BUNGA RAYA patterns as well. Other than that, we thought it was an ok display.  We expected more since this is like a competition. Wonder what ITALY, JAPAN & AUSTRALIA is going to do...

Caught in an hour long jam home. It was ok since we talked crappy stuff in da car to keep ourselves occupied! Here's a joke Aunty Lena shared with us in da car...

SON : Dad, what's the difference between CONFIDENCE and CONFIDENTIAL?

DAD : You, my son, is my CONFIDENCE... Your friend, my son too, is CONFIDENTIAL!

PANGKOR TRIP WAS FILLED WITH FOOD!

Mood     : Fulfilled            Music     : "Stars Are Blind" by Paris Hilton.

It's official, Adrian Teh Eu-Weng just put on weight. Pangkor Island trip was really relaxin. Din't do much but just eat n eat n eat n bath in sea water. It was almost paradise.

This year has been local island hoping for me man. Penang lar... Pangkor lar... Redang lar... Just one more to go, Tioman, any takers?

Din't get to snockle in Pangkor cause da sea wasn't clear.

Other than that, staying in Pangkor really bring you back close to nature. It's literally everything from the ocean to the forest including wildlife animals. Whoa, da monkeys are huge and da HORNBILLS were magnificient. Like literally they live in the resort. In front is the ocean, behind is the forest.

Din't shop much although I found a super cool shorts that did not fit me. Ish...only know how to cater to the ANG MORS! Parents bought loads of local delicasies ler. From kiam hu, to sate fish, to keropok to dried oysters n scallops. Is gonna be seafood galore for the next few weeks.

PERFECT STRANGER WAS BRILLIANT!

Mood     : Inspired      Music     : "Let's Dance" by Nicole Scherzinger

Perfect Stranger serves as a warning to all of us about the ambiguous dangers of virtual chat. That's rite... Seriously, the security of our indentity is on the line everytime we chat with strangers.

Remember when we were young, our parents used to say "DO NOT TALK TO STRANGERS!???

Halle Berry did an amazing job in warning us about this through her oscar-winning act. Watching this movie will keep your heart pounding off-beat every now and then.

Shout-out to other film students out there. YOU MIGHT WANNA FOCUS ON THE CINEMATOGRAPHY N EDITNG TECHNIQUES!

As for us audiences, hey...watch it and let it blow your mind! 8.5/10 for this cleverly twisted film!
